The leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya and the Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa is currently working to hold several friendly meetings with the district candidates representing the Samagi Jana Balawegaya for the upcoming local government elections.

It is reported that the Opposition Leader hopes to hold these meetings in a manner that covers all 25 districts of the island. These meetings have already been held in several districts and it is reported that the Opposition Leader received a great reception from the people present.

Addressing the candidates present there and explaining the future vision of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, Mr. Sajith Premadasa informed the people present about the hardships that the people have had to endure due to the short-sighted rule of the current government.
